HUC BoD Positions:
President: Face of HUC (communicates with other leagues/communities/UPA/Cupa etc.); calls and chairs all exec meetings; ensures accounting/books are updated; sets insurance policy; proposes yearly budget for Webmaster, League, Development, Social Events; final approval over news releases, letters and communications to members: communicates with board from time to time
Vice President: ensures communications are sent to members; plans all league parties and social events; has a budget but must be vetted by President; oversees and runs all instructional programs, hat tournaments and clinics
Treasurer: keeps all accounting and books up to date; updates budget to the exec at end of summer and year
Secretary: records minutes of exec meetings, prepares agendas
Webmaster: yearly budget vetted by Executive; runs/maintains/updates website as directed by Board and President;
Fields Director: books fields; build relationships within community; deals with field complaints and communicates them to BoD and appropriate party
League Conveners: communicates with team captains; sets schedules/fields/divisions; fields complaints; reports spirit problems/issues/ and all other issues to League Director; responsible for collecting waivers, scheduling/standings, taking pictures of teams and dispersing year end mvp and spirit prizes; has budget but must be vetted by President
Spirit Convener: develops spirit policy; maintains communication with all teams; spirit and league problems/issues/solutions (vetted by exec); has budget for spirit prizes but must be vetted by President
Touring: develops touring policy; budget to be approved by Executive; maintains relationships with touring teams; sets/enforces touring policy
Development (Spirit, Juniors, Volunteers): promotes HUC development and fosters growth; Junior/university programs; organize weekly pickup all year round; attract new members for the board and various events;
has budget but must be vetted by President
Purchasing: purchase comparatively priced ultimate equipment for the league; build partnerships with local companies; all HUC purchases must be vetted by President
Sales: sell gear to the HUC membership, schools, etc.
Pickup Coordinator: communicate with members and organize pickup games |
